Terms of Service and Platform Governance

Last Revised: 30 April 2026

Entity: Indian Attorneys Ltd

1. Legal Architecture and Regulatory Disclosures

1.1 Nature of the Platform

  • Indian Attorneys Ltd (trading as "Indian Attorneys UK") (the "Company") operates a proprietary technology-enabled intermediary platform (the "Platform").
  • The Platform is designed to facilitate professional introductions and administrative engagement between service users ("Clients") and independent, third-party legal practitioners ("Network Attorneys").
  • The Company is a technology service provider and not a law firm. The Company does not provide legal advice, legal opinions, or any form of legal representation.

1.2 Regulatory Status and Protections

  • The Company is not authorised or regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) or the Bar Standards Board (BSB) in the United Kingdom.
  • The Company does not undertake any "Reserved Legal Activities" as defined under the Legal Services Act 2007.
  • Clients acknowledge that engagement with the Platform does not provide the statutory protections associated with regulated UK law firms, such as access to the SRA Compensation Fund or the Legal Ombudsman.

2. AI-Driven Lawyer Matching and Proprietary Tools

2.1 Intermediary Status

IA UK acts solely as an introductory and administrative intermediary facilitating connections and secure payment processing.

2.2 No Supervision

The Company does not supervise, control, or review the legal services provided by Network Attorneys.

2.3 No Warranty of Outcome

The Company does not endorse, guarantee, or warrant the quality, accuracy, or eventual outcome of any legal work performed by a Network Attorney.

2.4 Contractual Separation

Legal services are provided exclusively by the Network Attorney under a direct, bilateral contractual relationship with the Client. The Company is not a party to such agreements.

3. Secure Document Vault and Data Fiduciary Roles

3.1 Information Accuracy

The Client shall provide true, accurate, and complete information at all times, including during the initial enquiry and throughout the course of an Instruction.

3.2 Independent Assessment

The Client is solely responsible for assessing the suitability, experience, and qualifications of any Network Attorney before issuing an Instruction.

3.3 Lawful Usage

The Client must use the Platform in a lawful manner and shall not attempt to use the Platform's services for any fraudulent or illicit purposes.

3.4 Compliance

The Client must comply with all applicable local and international laws, including but not limited to those regarding data privacy and anti-bribery.

4. Integrated Escrow Facility and Financial Governance

4.1 Professional Standing

Network Attorneys must remain in good standing with their respective Bar Councils or regulatory bodies and must notify the Company immediately of any change in status.

4.2 Standards of Care

The Network Attorney shall perform all legal services with the degree of skill and care expected of a qualified legal professional in their respective jurisdiction.

4.3 Timeliness and Reporting

Network Attorneys are under a strict duty to adhere to agreed deadlines and must utilise the Platform to provide live updates regarding milestone achievements.

4.4 Compliance and AML

All Network Attorneys must conduct their own independent Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) checks as required by the laws of their jurisdiction.

5. Consultancy Engagement and Non-Circumvention

5.1 Informational Purpose

The Platform utilises proprietary AI tools to assist in identifying suitable Network Attorneys. These outputs are for administrative efficiency and do not constitute legal advice or formal recommendations.

5.2 Liability Exclusion

IA UK does not guarantee the accuracy of AI-driven matches, and the final responsibility for selecting a professional remains with the Client.

5.3 Secure Document Vault

The Company provides a digital environment for document exchange. While industry-standard security is maintained, the Company is not liable for data breaches unless directly caused by its own gross negligence.

6. Comprehensive Limitation of Liability

6.1 Conditional Deposit

IA UK operates a secure payment facilitation system. Payments made by Clients are held as a conditional deposit and are not immediately earned by the Network Attorney.

6.2 Processing Partners

All payments are handled via regulated third-party providers, such as Stripe.

6.3 Release Triggers

Funds shall only be released to the Network Attorney upon:

  • Explicit confirmation of satisfactory completion by the Client;
  • The successful achievement of an agreed milestone; or
  • The expiration of a specified period without a formal dispute being raised.

6.4 Dispute Suspension

In the event of a dispute, the Company reserves the right to suspend payment and request evidence from both parties to determine a fair allocation of funds acting in good faith. This is a structured payment facilitation system — not an escrow service or client money account.

7. Cross-Border Data Sovereignty (GDPR & DPDP)

7.1 Inclusive Quoting

All quotes provided via the Platform are final and inclusive of all platform commissions, administrative fees, and standard processing costs.

7.2 No Surcharges

The price displayed at the point of Instruction is the total amount payable by the Client. No additional "check-out" fees shall be applied.

7.3 Currency Mandate

All payments are processed in Great British Pounds (GBP) to protect the Client from fluctuating exchange rates.

8. Intellectual Property and Prohibited Conduct

8.1 Restrictive Covenant

Clients and Network Attorneys agree not to engage in legal services outside the Platform for a period of 24 months following their initial introduction on IA UK.

8.2 Breach Damages

In the event of a breach of this clause, the Company reserves the right to recover an amount equivalent to the lost commission as a genuine pre-estimate of loss.

8.3 Ownership

All Platform technology, AI systems, branding, and content are the exclusive property of the Company.

9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

9.1 Exclusion of Service Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Company shall not be liable for any acts, omissions, or professional negligence on the part of the Network Attorney.

9.2 Aggregate Liability Cap

The Company's total aggregate liability for platform-related errors shall not exceed the total fees paid by the Client to the Company in the preceding 12 months.

10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

10.1 Choice of Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

10.2 Exclusive Jurisdiction

The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising from these Terms.
