These Terms apply to all users of the platform, including clients, legal professionals, third-party service providers, and visitors.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use our services.

2. About Indian Attorneys (IA)

Indian Attorneys is a legal tech-enabled service platform connecting clients, particularly Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), with verified lawyers and law firms in India.

IA provides access to a wide range of legal services including but not limited to property disputes, family law, succession matters, criminal defence, and civil litigation. Our services are technology-driven, enabling secure document exchange, consultation scheduling, and legal tracking from overseas.

3. User Eligibility

You may use our services only if:

• 3.1 You are at least 18 years old;
• 3.2 You are legally capable of entering into binding contracts;
• 3.3 Your use complies with all applicable local, national, and international laws and regulations.

Use of our platform on behalf of a minor or a legally incapacitated individual must be done by a legal guardian or authorized representative.

4. Legal Services Disclaimer

IA is not a law firm. We are a legal management and facilitation platform. Legal services are rendered directly by verified third-party legal professionals and law firms, with whom clients engage independently.

IA does not offer legal advice directly. All consultations, legal opinions, and representation are provided by listed legal professionals who operate under their own professional responsibility and bar council regulations.

5. Services Offered

Our platform provides the following services:

• 5.1 Lawyer matchmaking via AI and manual filters
• 5.2 Booking and managing legal consultations
• 5.3 Secure document uploads and legal file management
• 5.4 Case tracking and milestone updates
• 5.5 Fee and retainer payment facilitation
• 5.6 Free first consultations (subject to availability)
• 5.7 Premium legal support and reporting tools

IA reserves the right to add, modify, or remove services at its discretion and without prior notice.

6. Fees and Payments

• 6.1 Fees for legal services are set by individual lawyers or firms listed on our platform.
• 6.2 IA may facilitate payments via a secure online system.
• 6.3 A platform commission or convenience fee may be included in the final invoice.
• 6.4 All fees must be paid in full before services are rendered unless otherwise agreed.
• 6.5 Currency for transactions may be GBP, INR, or other agreed currencies.
• 6.6 IA is not liable for any disputes relating to lawyer-client fee arrangements.

7. User Responsibilities

By using IA, you agree:

• 7.1 To provide accurate, current, and complete information;
• 7.2 To maintain the confidentiality of login credentials and restrict account access;
• 7.3 Not to use the platform for unlawful, unethical, or fraudulent purposes;
• 7.4 Not to interfere with the platform's security or misuse its functionalities;
• 7.5 To abide by all applicable data protection laws, including the UK GDPR and India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

8. Confidentiality & Data Protection

All client data shared via the platform is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and Client Confidentiality Policy. Sensitive legal documents are stored with end-to-end encryption and shared only with authorized professionals under strict confidentiality protocols.

9. Intellectual Property

• 9.1 All content on the IA platform, including logos, text, software, graphics, documents and brand asssets, are the intellectual property of Indian Attorneys or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable IP laws.
• 9.2 You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works without prior written consent of the company.

10. Third-Party Links and Services

• 10.1 Our platform may contain links to third-party websites or services.
• 10.2 IA is not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or legal services offered on third-party platforms.
• 10.3 Engaging with third-party service providers is done solely at your own risk.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• 11.1 IA disclaims all warranties regarding the accuracy, reliability, or availability of the platform
• 11.2 IA shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting you're your use of or inability to use the platform or any services accessed through it.
• 11.3 IA is not liable for the conduct or legal advice of any third-party lawyer or law firm.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Indian Attorneys, its directors, affiliates, employees, and partners from any claims, liabilities, damages, or legal expenses arising from your use of the platform, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any rights of a third party.

13. Modification of Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time by updating this page. You are expected to check this page periodically. Continued use of the platform after changes are made constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of:

• 14.1 England and Wales for users based in the UK or international territories; and
• 14.2 India for users engaging in services delivered under Indian jurisdiction.

Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the appropriate courts in London, UK, or New Delhi, India, depending on the service engagement.
